Where Spirituality & Psychology Meet
Our DRAFT Process, resources, blogs, and offers are all centered at the intersection of spirituality and psychology. At DRAFT, we believe that the greatest path towards healing & fulfillment is found right where these two meet - spiritual practice and the understanding of why is truly works.
The Intersections of Spirituality & Psychology
People often ask why DRAFT is grounded in both psychology and spirituality instead of choosing one or the other. The answer is simple: they answer different questions.
Psychology helps us understand how we became who we are. It explains how our brain creates habits, how our nervous system responds to stress, why we develop certain beliefs, why patterns repeat, and how change is actually possible. It gives us research, language, and practical tools for understanding ourselves with compassion instead of judgment.
Spirituality asks a different set of questions. It invites us to slow down, become present, reconnect with nature, listen to our intuition, cultivate gratitude, find meaning, and remember that we are part of something larger than our achievements or identities. It reminds us that not everything meaningful can be measured, and that wisdom is often found through experience rather than explanation.
Neither approach is complete on its own. Psychology can explain why we think the way we do, but it doesn't always tell us how to feel deeply connected to ourselves. Spirituality can offer profound experiences of connection and purpose, but without reflection and discernment, it can sometimes overlook the psychological patterns that keep us stuck.
Together, they become something incredibly powerful. Psychology gives us understanding. Spirituality gives us practice. One helps us make sense of our experiences. The other helps us live them.
My hope is that DRAFT makes these practices more accessible to everyone, whether you've meditated for years or have never tried it before. You don't have to identify as a deeply spiritual person to benefit from slowing down, spending time in nature, reflecting on your life, practicing gratitude, or creating meaningful rituals. These are deeply human practices that have existed across cultures for thousands of years because they help us reconnect with ourselves.
DRAFT isn't here to tell you what to believe. It's here to give you thoughtful, evidence-informed tools and meaningful practices that help you understand yourself more deeply, live more intentionally, and continue becoming the person you're meant to be.
Whether you come here because you love neuroscience, meditation, personal growth, or simply because you know something in your life needs to change, you're welcome here. Because healing isn't reserved for “spiritual people;” it's your right as a human being.
